Koenigsegg Agera RS
Enter the Koenigsegg Agera RS. This supercar is one of the world’s most expensive, but it’s also one of the world’s most exciting cars. With a price of around $10 million, and horsepower around 1140, you can bet that only a handful are owned. In fact, only a few hundred of these cars rolled off the production line. Each car is handmade, and has more carbon fiber on it than you can shake a stick at, which makes these cars light as a feather, at around 3200lbs. The Agera RS is the fastest production car on the planet, and has an average top speed of around 273 mph, and highest recorded speed at 277.9 mph. Now, that is moving!
This supercar may not strike you as the most expensive on the list, because it’s not.. but Audi R8 is no slouch in the supercar division. This is the most “everyday” of the everyday supercars in that Audi makes millions of cars every year. Don’t let that fool you however, these cars start with around 560 bhp and the new V10 model has over 610 bhp. This is the supercar that millionaires drive around town, but has the performance capability to go to the track. The newest version of the R8 is the lightest one yet, with more carbon fiber than ever. It also comes with an optional adaptive suspension for more comfort around town. The top speed of the R8 is around 205 miles per hour!
Starting at around $280k, the McLaren 720S has a hefty price tag to say the least. Totally worth it when this car comes with over 700 hp, and goes 0-60 in a mere 2.8 seconds. You had better be able to afford the gas for this monster as well. The combined gas mileage for the Mclaren 720S is a not-too-shabby 26 mpg compared to the average car, but the power difference would make sense in this instance as to why it is lower. The car weighs around 3300 lbs, which is quite light for a vehicle, and definitely contributes the immense speed the Mclaren wows its operators with.
This car is the perfect blend between race car and luxury car. The interior drips of quality with the leather and carbon fiber trim. Different driving modes accent this as well, giving the driver the option on how they want their car to perform on the road or track. Top speed: A blistering 212 mph!
Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
The 2019 Aventador SVJ does not disappoint the avid supercar fan. It perfectly exemplifies the delicate balance between performance and luxury in a vehicle. Sporting a naturally aspirated stand-alone V12, this car is an absolute “Diablo”, and it has the numbers to back it up. The engine puts out 770 hp and can reach 60 mph from a dead stop in just under 3 seconds with a time of 2.8 seconds.
This “lambo” lives up to the fashion and flashiness that the brand has embraced and made into an iconic look. Carbon fiber trim with a race-inspired wing, and diffuser adorn this beast, as well as assist with the incredible performance. The physical features of this car may look amazing, but they are also functional. The vents force induction and help cool the air entering the car. The Aventador SVj costs around $517,000, and has a top speed of 217 miles per hour.
Ferrari 812 Superfast
Luxury, performance, and Ferrari all go hand in hand perfectly, and as they should with the value these cars hold. The Ferrari 812 Superfast has a price tag of about $364,000 and, contrary to normal depreciation, they increase value over time. This beautiful piece of machinery has a 789 horsepower V12 under the hood, and it performs impeccably. An active diffuser on the tail end of the car does a fantastic job with downforce and aerodynamics. This car is beautiful inside and out, with a body that reduces drag, a modern comfortable interior, and an engine that is practically bulletproof, those who buy a Ferrari know true quality. While the car isn’t particularly a featherweight, weighing in at 3900 lbs, it still handles like a dream. If you are fortunate enough to buy one, the Ferrari 812 Superfast makes for a fantastic daily driver if that is what you prefer. You know what they say.. “Smoke ’em if you got ’em!” and the Ferrari does just that.
The Bugatti Chiron is probably one of the most iconic supercars in the last ten years. It was the previous world record holder for the fastest production car until recently. The price tag on this Bugatti runs about $2.9 million. With an engine that puts out 1,500 horsepower, it is no wonder why it held the speed record and costs so much. This car is an absolute beast. The interior is comfortable as well, making it practical enough to be able to drive it longer than 20 minutes (assuming you can afford the gas). No matter which of these incredible supercars you could end up getting, if you do, know that you are blessed to be able to experience such a luxury!
